Subsidise activities for children

There are lots of extracurricular activities for kids but these can be very expensive and lots of children don't like traditional sports like football, etc. There are lots of outdoor sports like biking, kayaking or climbing - it would be great to have reduced membership/passes for activities like these that get kids out in nature without being competitive.

Why the contribution is important

It would encourage children to go outside and have fun while promoting fitness and curiosity for nature.

Working to end child poverty shouldn't just be about the basics like food and heating, it's also important that children have rich and full lives and get to do activities and broaden their horizons.

Children from poorer backgrounds can miss out on a lot of learning experiences and fun, they deserve to have a chance. Activities for children should be cheaper.

I think we need to prioritise children and poor families having the basics first. It's not good enough if children are hungry or cold. We need to put any budget there is towards fixing those problems before funding"extras" like activities.
