Introduce Freecycle

Freecycle is a charity that allows anyone, not just homeless people to come and enjoy a free, hot 2 course meal. The ingredients are collected from local vendors that would normally have been thrown away.

Why the contribution is important

As more families will be struggling over the next few years we need to support them and bring people together. There needs to be an option that feels more like an event than a charity so people are not embarrased to use the service.

It's good to support and promote charities like this. But we shouldn't be relying on charities to support people in poverty. Government and local authorities need to actually do more themselves
