Free wifi for people on Universal Credit

Provide free wifi at home for 12 months for everyone in receipt of universal credit.

Why the contribution is important

Access to the internet is essential these days for job-seeking, education, entertainment and being connected to the world. This will help people who are experiencing difficult life circumstances look for work, get out of poverty and improve their mental health.

I agree with supporting people on low incomes to get skills and hunt for jobs but I feel like this scheme would be open to abuse.

This would be a really useful way of helping unemployed people back into job searching - wifi can be expensive and not very accessible for all people
